Bonuses & Bennie's of being Buddies with the Bean (Coffee-bean… cha-cha-cha)

"Happy days are here again,
The coffee's on, caffeine's my friend,
Pour a cup of Joe and drink it in,
Coffee breaks should never end."

*(Bonuses & Bennie's of being Buddies with the Bean (Coffee)

Every year, a special client of mine who's part of my Parkinson's protocol program, provides me with the power to percolate, or what I call, a bag if Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee, my single mostest favorite coffee of all time (bet most of you didn't know that back in the early 1990's good Ol' Coach-JiM managed a couple of Starbuck's stores in the Bay area if Northern California... But back to our story).

I love Coffee, good Coffee, straight no cream and sugar chaser kind of coffee... Always have, always knew I felt better With Coffee in my regular routine than without it, and here's just a small sample (aka an espresso shot — brief, powerful and purposeful) of why...

According to research, coffee may offer a range of health benefits including: reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes, protecting against Parkinson's disease, improving cognitive function, boosting alertness, potentially lowering the risk of certain cancers, promoting liver health, supporting heart health, and may even contribute to a longer lifespan, though individual responses can vary and moderation is key; however, consult a healthcare professional before relying on coffee for health benefits.

Key potential benefits of coffee:
BRAIN FUNCTION:
Caffeine in coffee can enhance alertness, focus, and cognitive performance, potentially improving memory and reaction time.
DIABETES PREVENTION:
Studies suggest that coffee consumption may be associated with a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes due to its potential to improve insulin sensitivity.
PARKINSON'S DISEASE PROTECTION:
Regular coffee intake may be linked to a lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease, possibly due to the protective effects of caffeine on dopamine-producing brain cells.
LIVER HEALTH:
Some research indicates coffee may offer benefits for liver function, potentially reducing the risk of liver diseases.
HEART HEALTH:
Moderate coffee consumption may be associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, potentially due to its antioxidant properties.
ANTIOXIDANT POWER:
Coffee contains antioxidants like chlorogenic acid which can help combat oxidative stress in the body.
CANCER PREVENTION:
Certain studies suggest coffee may be linked to a reduced risk of certain cancers, including liver and skin cancer.
MOOD ENHANCEMENT:
Caffeine can stimulate the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine, potentially contributing to improved mood... I know at least that I'm a lot more pleasant to be around when I've had coffee than when I haven't... That makes my Wife be in a better mood for sure!
But wait, there's more...
BEANS & BOWELS:
Coffee may positively impact gut bacteria by promoting the growth of beneficial microbes.
METABOLIC BENEFITS:
Some research suggests coffee may help with weight management by boosting metabolism and promoting fat burning.

How do You make the most of your Macchiato? (Well, probably, Macchiatto's are OK, they are literally just "spotted" with foamed milk, even less than a Cappuccino and Latte)

Moderation is key:
While coffee offers potential benefits, excessive consumption of anything (even Oxygem and Water) can lead to negative effects like anxiety, insomnia, and digestive issues.

Individual sensitivity:
People may have varying levels of caffeine sensitivity, so adjust intake accordingly.

Underlying health conditions:
Individuals with certain medical conditions like high blood pressure or anxiety should consult their doctor before increasing coffee intake... I said ask your Doctor, NOT your Barista!

Here's a larger sample shot of why Coffee is "hot"... (Meaning a Good Thing, but "a good thing” didn't quite rhyme)
