The next time you assume "people should just understand technology, remember that everything old is new again".*(A “Quickie-How-To-Course” in My Canva eMail Newsletters).
The next time you assume "people should just understand technology, remember that everything old is new again".
So My 36 yr old son made an interesting comparison the other day... See technically he's my stepson So what he was comparing was me as his stepdad to a great guy his birth father and our two unique perspectives on technology.
He said " So I have a stepdad who was mastering machine learning and chat GPT on one hand and on the other hand I have a father who has four different accounts on Facebook because whenever he forgets his password he just creates a new profile and account."
So I laughed and my ego found it complimentary towards me but truth be told his father had mastered all the use of technology he needed to in exactly the way that suited him and it was in no way wrong.
And after all isn't that what we're all after Really to just master technology enough to where it serves us rather than feeling like we're enslaved to it.
So in the last few months these e-newsletters I've worked hard to create and send out or not What everyone is accustomed to using and I would like to take the opportunity now to make sure that the technology I'm using serves you and enslaves no one... And frustrates as few as possible.
So here you go A quick and to the point tutorial on how to step by step navigate through the newsletters for your best experience and thank you for reading... I do appreciate you.
PS and by the way the image attached to this article is of a floor mount brights and dimmer switch for the headlights of some of the best cars Detroit ever made Yeah it's that old... And so am I.
1)WHAT this format is:
...called a "blog-style newsletter" or simply a "blog newsletter," as it essentially curates and delivers access to a selection of recent blog posts to readers, via email or direct messaging.
2)WHY it is this way:
...primarily consisting of easily viewable summaries or excerpts from blog posts with links back to the full article on our website.
The Purpose is to give you more of what we hope you find interesting, but with total control to "click & choose" the subjects and articles you feel are most relevant or interesting...
3)HOW it works:
...each edition will include a variety of elements/stories, each with headlines, featured images, short descriptions, and where you're intrigued, what's known as an easy to access, "Click-here" button to encourage being redirected straight to our blog, safely, securely and privately.
4)HOW to work it for your benefit:
...once you've chosen to "Click-here" on the "Action-button" for the story of your choice, you'll find yourself at "The Trustable Trainer" site, which hosts our blog, "The Aging Pro."
The great thing is that once you've finished with that particular story, you're already at the blog so you are free to peruse ALL the content you wish, just by "clicking" the Menu in the upper corner (two parallel lines) and then choose "The Aging Pro Blog" and you can see, and select from, all the Articles written just for folks like you.
These eMail Newsletters are produced with the help of Canva, an awesome company originating in Australia, that is highly reviewed, respected and in return, respects your privacy.
There, I hope you're comfortable with your Newsletter, I hope you enjoy the work put into it, and I hope this "flashes the bright’s" just right to help you see your way through this "newer-fangled" technology, without leaving you feeling stranded by the side of the road known as our Information Superhighway.
